Is Session Studio free for download and sign up?

Session Studio is and will always be free for music creators to download and sign up. Certain features will require a subscription.


What does it cost?

Session Studio is and will always be free for music creators with 2GB of cloud storage. We do offer paid plans which you can find details about here. We don’t take any percentage of works or recordings.


How do I download Session Studio?

You can use Session Studio on any device through a web browser. You can download our app from google play on android devices, or through the App store for iOS devices including Macs. You can download the app here


On which Operating systems is the Session Studio app available?

At the current moment in time, Session Studio is available for Android, and any iOS/MAC devices. Further operating systems will added over time.


What to do if I get a white screen on the desktop app

If you get a white screen on the desktop app for Mac, hold the command button and R to reload the page.


Does Session Studio take or use my personal information, songs or files?

You own all the content you provide in connection with the service, Session Studio does not own any rights to your content or it's performance.


Can I register my songs through Session Studio?

Currently, we don’t offer direct registrations to copyright societies. The split sheet in Session Studio works as a great input for the registration as it holds all the data you need .


Do you track royalties?

We currently don't track royalties in Session Studio, we offer a platform to easily add your important data to you audio, allowing you to be able to track your royalties, ensuring you get the credit you deserve.


How does Session Studio work compared to a copyright society?

Session Studio should not be compared with a collecting society. Session Studio does work closely with a number of different collecting societies, including ASCAP in the US, PRS for Music in the UK and STIM in Sweden. Session Studio doesn’t distribute royalties or deal with copyright issues.


Is Session Studio a publishing company?

Session Studio is not a publishing company, it is used by music companies (e.g. publishers and managers) as a source for data connected to their creators’ songs.
