How do I delete a song?
The way to delete a song is to leave it. You can do this from the context menu, to the right of the title in the songs list. The reason for not having a simple delete option is to avoid a scenario where someone deletes a song for someone else. By choosing to leave a song it will disappear from your song list but stay in your co-writers’.
If you decide to leave a song, you won’t be able to return unless you’re re-invited by another creator. Leaving a song in which you’re the only creator deletes the song completely.
What is a Song in Session Studio?

What happens to the song splits in Session Studio?

The splits in Session Studio are 100% songwriter splits.
Why should I make the split in Session Studio?
From our own experiences, discussing split agreements during a creative process can be both hard and uninspiring. Also, in case you disagree with your co-writers later on, it will be hard to refer to a conversation you had in the studio.
Making the split in Session Studio gives the accepted split a time stamp and includes your name, IPI number and other needed data for registration of the song with your collecting society.
Audio, transcoding, and multi-channel
When you upload an audio file to Session Studio, we store the original file as you have uploaded it (file type, size, bit-rate and other attributes remain the same).
In addition, we transcode the file into mp3 format at 192kbps, so that when you share or playback the audio it uses less of your data.
However, when you add your audio file to a release in Session Studio, or when you download it, the original file is used.
Currently, Session Studio supports files in stereo (two channel) format. If you have uploaded an audio file with more than two channels, it may not transcode correctly and so it may sound different when you play it or share it within Session Studio.
We may explore multi-channel support in the future; in the meantime, we recommend uploading audio in stereo format for best results.
Can I invite co-writers and friends to Session Studio?
Yes. You can send song invites to co-creators, publishers and managers to any song you’re working on in Session Studio.
