Storage limits and how they work
Session Studio offers all users 2GB of storage as part of the free membership tier.
To work out how much storage you are using, we look at the total size of the audio files that you have access to.
Specifically, we count count the total amount of storage used by audio that:
you have uploaded to a song - we call this ‘your audio’,
other users have uploaded to a song that you have access to, i.e. where you are collaborating on a song with another person. We call this ‘collaborator audio’.
Private audio
If you have uploaded audio to a song, and marked the audio as ‘private’, then that audio is counted towards your storage limit.
If another user has uploaded audio to a song that you are collaborating on with them, but they have marked that audio as ‘private’, then it will not be counted towards your limit.
Leaving a song
If you create a song, upload audio to it, and then leave the song, the public audio on that song will no longer be counted towards your limit.
Any private audio that you have uploaded to a song will be deleted if you leave the song.
If you need more storage than 2GB, then our subscription offerings include the benefit of more storage, so that you can keep uploading and keep creating!
