To support music creators we've created a community on Discord to help find collaborators, get feedback on songs and get advice. The community is open to all, whether you're starting out on your creation journey or a veteran music creator. It's a space to share your aspirations, gain knowledge and connect with like minded individuals. You may also find some songwriting challenges to get involved in.

As with all community spaces there are rules to follow, our community team makes sure that these are enforced. The Session Studio community is and always will be a safe place for everyone.

With Discord you split topics into different channels, this makes it much easier to get involved in conversations and find helpful information. Below are some of the channels and topics that we offer. This list will not be exhaustive with other channels being added. The channels are split into sections information, general chat, competitions, collaboration and feedback, songwriting, production, art work and beats, and support and information. There are also voice channels for general, songwriting and production.

For talking about anything you feel like! You can talk to other music creators about anything that's on your mind, this could be music or anything else that interests you.

You can ask questions about our global song competition that runs each month as well as check out the latest information on prizes and guest judges. You can also find more information on our website here

A quick way to look up the previous winners of SongDrop.

Sometimes there will be community specific challenges, such as write a song with a new collaborator or only use two instruments. This channel is for announcing the challenge and for entries to be posted using a Session Studio share link.

Post your Session Studio share links for a chance to feature on one of our social media posts. If it's not a share link you won't be considered and your post will be removed after 24 hours if it's not corrected.

If your song is chosen, you will be contacted for a downloadable version and the credit information so we can credit all collaborators in the post.

You can create a post to look for collaborators from within the community. If you're looking for a vocalist, producer, mixer or anyone else to help you complete your project post in here. Make sure you give links to your previous work, or the work in progress. Be clear on what collaboration you're after to make it easier to find people to work with.

You can share Session Studio share links of your projects into this channel to get feedback from the community. All feedback must be constructive and helpful to the music creator posting.

Want to get your music in front of people? Share it in the share your music channel where you can post links to Soundcloud, Spotify, YouTube or from anywhere else. If you have an album, EP or single launch speak to us about setting up an event to support it.

General chat about songwriting, talk about your process share advice and get to know each other.

Stuck trying to figure out a melody, or don't know how to get started? Put a post in this channel to get some words of wisdom from the community.

Get support on your lyric writing and share what you've been work on using a Session Studio PDF of your lyrics.

Talk about the art of lyric writing and the different techniques you use.

General chat about music production, talk about your process share advice and get to know each other.

Stuck on how to get a certain sound, what plug-in you need to use? Put a post in this channel to get some words of wisdom from the community.

See what everyone has been creating using each others stems! Apply to enter into the remix roulette in this channel and listen to what people have created. There will be listening sessions held periodically.

If you have ideas for events that could be run, would like help writing a song or just think we need extra channels, post your ideas here!

As simple as it sounds, in this channel we will post polls for you to vote on things, such as which feature you would like to see added to Session Studio.

Do you have an idea for new features for Session Studio? Think something can be improved? Then post your thoughts in the feature requests channel, all posts are fed back to the product team to feed into the roadmap.
